Innovative Power Inc. has released its modular IPI Three-Phase Transformer Series that according to the company boasts advanced performance, rugged construction and superior reliability. The company also said the devices offer superior power management in various instruments and controls geared for heavy-duty industrial use.

The IPI Three-Phase Transformer Series claims to provide efficient power distribution, stepping voltages up or down. With three sets of primary and secondary windings sharing a common core, this transformer series offers a highly efficient alternative to standard single phase transformers, which requires more space, more connections, more weight and more potential points of wear or failure, stated Innovative Power.

The IPI Three-Phase Transformers are aimed at heavy duty instrumentation and controls developed for rugged industrial processes and manufacturing environments. Their flexible, scalable design supports a range of cost-effective applications requiring superior electrical performance, high reliability, long-life and a low lifecycle cost, the company noted. Special and custom design configurations are available from the IPI Design Center.

Suitable for applications from 0.1-50kVA, the devices are manufactured with precision coil winding technology in an economical open-frame package or sealed package. Depending on the model selected and voltage required, package sizes range from as small as 25.4mm square to as large as 1.2192m square. Lead terminal finish is RoHS compliant, solder meets J-STD-020D and safety is per UL E332078. Additional certifications are available upon request to a broad array of government, industry and international safety, performance, quality and material standards.

The IPI Three-Phase Transformers are manufactured according to strict standards in IPI's cellular manufacturing facility, which meets ISO 9001-2008.

The IPI Three-Phase Transformers withstand high temperature soldering and operating temperature environments from -40C to 240C. They come standard in tube packaging for auto insertion equipment, as well as other packaging options upon request.

In 1000 piece quantity, the IPI Three-Phase Transformers are available beginning at $1 each to $6,000 each depending on specific performance features and other customer requirements. Lead-time is stock to six weeks.
