Resistors deliver 10MΩ resistance

Vishay Intertechnology Inc. delivered a series of through-hole single-in-line thin film resistors. For high accuracy in precision, high-voltage instrumentation and amplifiers, the Vishay Dale Thin Film HVPS devices feature high resistance values to 10MΩ, tight tolerances down to 0.01 per cent, and high working voltages to 1.8kV.

The resistors combine their high working voltage with stable film characteristics of 0.05 per cent for 2,000 hours at 70°C, ultra-low TCR of 5ppm/°C, and a wide resistance range of 50kΩ to 10MΩ. Offering a conformal coating, the devices are optimised for high-voltage telecommunication, industrial, and test and measurement applications.

HVPS devices feature low noise of less than -30dB, low thermal EMF of less than 0.1µV/°C, high power ratings up to 400mW, and a temperature range of -55°C to 125°C. Available with lead-bearing and lead-free options, the resistors are halogen-free and flame-resistant in accordance to UL 94 V-0.

Samples and production quantities of the HVPS resistors are available now, with lead times of eight weeks.
