Agilent Technologies Inc. has announced that it has been accredited as a designated calibration agency under Japan Radio Law by the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), making it the first non-government designated calibration agency in Japan.

Japan law says that calibration is required for all test equipment used to maintain radio stations in the country. Only a state-affiliated body delivered this service before.

Agilent-issued calibration certificates and labels meet the legal calibration needs of registered wireless maintenance companies under Japan Radio Law.

Agilent confirms if the instrument meets its specification. Japan customers can order this service as part of periodic calibration.
