Toshiba Corp. has announced what it describes is a low ON-resistance MOSFET, TPN2R503NC, manufactured with the latest 8th generation process, aimed at lithium-ion battery protection circuits and mobile phone power management switches. Two other 8th-generation products, TPN4R203NC and TPN6R303NC, have also been unleashed to the line-up as successors to existing models.

The MOSFETs come in a TSON Advance package that according to the company offers good heat radiation performance. In addition, the devices claim to provide high avalanche resistance.
