AIS rolls out industrial grade open frame monitors

LCD monitors

American Industrial Systems (AIS) recently unveiled open frame LCD monitors to aid in the simplification of all aspects of machine-to-machine interface applications. Catering to industrial OEMs, equipment, machinery and kiosk manufacturers, the monitors are fully integrated, commercially off-the-shelf (COTS) units that combine a high performance resistive touch screen and capacitive multi-touch screen technologies, long-life lamp/LED unit and easy lamp/LED unit in industrial-grade LCD flat panels.

Rugged, all-steel frames and a highly durable glass front surface provide the strength needed for demanding industrial environments. AIS full-range resistive touch open frame monitors are available in screen sizes: 8.4", 10.4", 12.1", 15", 17", 19" and 21.5" and capacitive multi-touch screen open frame monitors are in screen sizes 15", 17", 19", and 21.5".

Features include:

  • Environmentally friendly construction with long and safe operation in most demanding operational environment.
  • Designed to deliver optimum performance over a wide range of temperatures (from -25 to 55 degrees C).
  • Forward- compatibility with succeeding future models offering higher performance and additional features.
  • Long-life Lamp/LED unit and Easy Lamp/LED unit Replacement Function
  • Excellent display characteristics even when viewed from extreme angles and in less than optimum condition.
  • Easy viewing from extreme angles. All standard modules have a horizontal viewing axis of more than 130 degrees and vertical viewing axis of 110 degrees.
  • The majority of AIS TFT-LCD displays have a brightness rating above 200 to 300 cd/m2 (nits), with some as high as 1000 cd/m2 and 1500 cd/m2.
