DC-DC converters withstand HVAC systems over 100℃

TDK-Lambda has rolled out quarter-brick DC-DC converters with 50W to 150W output power and an input voltage range of 200V to 425V. Applicable to HVDC, solar cell products and test equipment, the PH-A280 series of converters carry the CE mark and are manufactured in standard 37.2mm × 12.7mm × 58.3 mm format.

The PH-A280 DC/DC converters offer nominal output voltages of 5V, 12V, 24V, and 48V, adjustable by –20 per cent to +10 per cent (±20 per cent for 5V output models). The product line achieves efficiencies of up to 90 per cent—an improvement of 5 per cent over the previous series. The power modules can operate at full load over a wide baseplate temperature range of –40℃ to +100℃, making them suitable for liquid, air, or conduction cooled systems.

Standard features include remote sense, remote on/off, and over-voltage and over-current protection. All models provide input-to-output isolation of 3kVAC and are safety-approved to UL/CSA/EN60950-1 standards.
