 Catapult 8

Calypto has enhanced the high-level synthesis (HLS) technology with its third-generation Catapult 8. It aims at FPGA and custom IC development, and supports the use of C++ and SystemC.

Coding in HLS allows designers to be more productive in both design and verification phases, and improves code maintainability. According to the company, the HDL generated by Catapult 8 is highly human-readable. Catapult features incremental compilation, and a DSP (FFT & filters) library is available.
