Film capacitors cater to broader voltage range

TDK bared the EPCOS X capacitor series designed for up to 530V AC operating voltage and EMI suppression in X1 circuits (L-N).

The B32911 through B32918 capacitor series cover a 1nF to 5.6µF capacitance range and are available in compact packages. The dimensions range from 4.0mm x 9.0mm x 13.0mm to 35mm x 50mm x 57.5mm, with lead spacing of 10mm to 52.5mm. The series with capacitance values of 4.7µF and 5.6µF are equipped with four pins for improved mechanical stability on the PCB.

The permissible operating temperature range is from -40°C to 110°C. Like all EPCOS MKP capacitors, the new types also feature high rated voltages and excellent self-healing properties. The series is certified according to ENEC, UL and CSA. Typical applications include power supplies of all kinds and frequency converters.
