Sigma Designs displayed the Z-Wave Controller Development Kit, which contains the building blocks needed to create solutions for the automated home. The kit can be used on any device in the home that has a Z-Wave wireless communication chip in it, including alarm panels, garage door openers, sprinkler systems, on-off switches, thermostats, water valves, light bulbs and many others. With the development kit, Sigma Designs is targeting gateway manufacturers, saying it can speed their time to market and reduce development costs.
