Keysight Technologies Sales (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. has revealed its new service centre in Selangor as a move to expand its multi-vendor equipment calibration services portfolio.

The Selangor Service Centre, which has begun operations, touts a modern calibration laboratory that provides factory adjustment and a full suite of OEM tests that covers all test points for all specifications. The lab has the capability to calibrate Keysight and non-Keysight instruments, including spectrum analysers (up to microwave range), function generators, low frequency sources, source measure units (SMUs), oscilloscopes up to 6GHz, power metres, power supplies, loads, LCR meters, digital multimetres and counters. This is Keysight's second service centre in Malaysia after Penang.

The newly launched centre aims to boost customer experience by providing one-stop service solutions for a range of instrument inventories with fast turnaround time. It is also part of the company's strategic move to grow its global services business.

"This move demonstrates Keysight's commitment to offer our customers in Malaysia a rapidly expanding spectrum of high-quality support services covering their broad range of assets," said Simon Bao, South Asia manager for instrument services division of Keysight.

"We found that there is a need for a high-quality calibration solution provider to service customers in the central and southern regions. The addition of the experienced service team in Selangor further enhances our industry-leading, flexible service solutions to help customers achieve their business goals. We will continue to expand our services and coverage based on our customers' needs," he added.

Keysight offers Volume On-site Calibration (VOSCAL) service, which is a customised solution to help customers calibrate their instruments on-site. Keysight will send calibration stations and its engineers to customers' sites to service their instruments, thus reducing instrument downtime and saving cost for customers. The scope of capability for this service includes a range of electrical, RF/microwave, mechanical, dimensional and optical calibration. Also included are system uptime support, instrument upgrade, repair and training.

The Selangor facility is equipped to service customers from the manufacturing/R&D segments of semiconductor, electronics & electrical, telecommunication, industrial, medical, and IT service delivery sectors. It is located at Unit 204, Level 2, Uptown 2, 2 Jalan SS21/37, Damansara Uptown, 47400 Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
